ತಿರುಮಲವನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿನ ಚಿತ್ತೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕಚೇರಿ ಕಂಟೈನ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್ ವಲಯ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದೆ. ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ -19 ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪರಿಶೀಲನಾ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ 66 ಮಂಡಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 64 ಮಂಡಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಟೈನ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್ ವಲಯಗಳಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ತಿರುಮಲಾ ಇದುವರೆಗೆ 84 ಕೋವಿಡ್ -19 ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 50 ಎಪಿಎಸ್‌ಪಿ ಬೆಟಾಲಿಯನ್‌ಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದು, ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರತೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರುವ ಭಕ್ತರ ಮೂಲಕ ವೈರಸ್ ಹರಡಿರಬಹುದೆಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಶಂಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಟಿಟಿಡಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಕ್ತರ ಮಾದರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತರಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಕರಣವೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ವರದಿಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
